The concept of non-exclusivity in a relationship is a subject that always generates debate in reality. In the world of cinema, some projects put their spotlight on the theme, bringing reflections. Thinking about this, we decided to separate a list with 5 movies that reflect non-monogamy:

In the plot, which had its first national screening at the Rio 2022 Festival, we meet Mari (Letícia Colin), a young chef who has her own restaurant and lives her monotonous and even distant days with her husband Rafa (Dan Ferreira) in a comfortable apartment in a big city in Brazil. One day, Fred (Túlio Starling) and Isis (Bárbara Paz), move into her building, which ends up messing with her routine, especially when she starts showing interest in Fred and automatically distancing herself even more from her husband. There is a deep look at the complex protagonist, played by the excellent Letícia Colin. Mixing in parts moments within a non-linearity, this striking personality that sees herself trapped (but doesn't show it) in a relationship where she has everything and yet is far from happy is built. But what would this everything be?

In the plot, we meet Martin (Nicholas Hoult) a young pharmacist, introspective, who lives alone and has huge difficulty opening up but with a need for intense and distant relationships. In parallel, we also meet Gabi (Laia Costa) who is a young Spanish woman from Barcelona who is in the United States working and studying. They both search for short-term, superficial crushes on dating apps until they meet and things that seemed simple become much more complicated because of a feeling that is growing and quickly becoming a great love.

In this comedy written and directed by American filmmaker Brian Crano, we meet a peculiar portrait of a couple about to get married who decide to open up their relationship for a while. In the cast is the great actress Rebecca Hall.

Written and directed by California filmmaker Hannah Marks, Mary and Other People, released in June 2021 in the United States and available for rent on Prime Video, shows us the conflicts of a newly married couple over each other's different views on relationships.
Exploring the theme of polyamory, the comedy 10 Rules for an Open Relationship follows couples who stipulate rules for their respective open relationships. Written and directed by American filmmaker Leslie Greif.
