Quantumania？ Give Me a Break

I was literally thinking how dare they made it the beginning of the 5th phase of the Marvel universe? I get it though, after they finished Avengers 4 with an epic ending, while old-time avengers made their goodbyes one after another, the MCU just started to fade off. I can’t really say that the Quantumania wouldn’t be the poetic perfection of Marvel’s 5th stage, since the next one might just get worse, LUL.

Let’s start with the visuals: there weren’t many modern elements discussed in Quantumania, as the film concept was mainly set in the quantum realm. However, it was rather odd that the quantum realm somehow mixed with Star War elements. Strange aliens, flying spaceships and stormtroopers alike? No wonder it was produced by Disney, and I wouldn’t bother to guess that Marvel is going to combine their IP with the Star War.

As for the aftereffect, I couldn’t help to suspect that the production team tried really hard on their deadline. Many scenes felt like an unfinished collage, and sometimes the characters appeared to be abrupt in the picture. I couldn’t tell if they really hired an art director, as the colour was way over-rendered.

To avoid spoilers, I wouldn’t talk too much about the plot here, but I have to say that again (that’s right, without a surprise), which was throughout the film, there wasn’t a touching, heart-felt transformation to be witnessed from its characters.

I know, I can’t expect too much as people watch Marvels be entertained (so do I), the thing is, when I finished watching and there wasn’t any excitement about the entertaining part, I felt pointless. I wasted my money because it didn’t buy me joy, I wasted my time because there wasn’t part worth me remembering.

The story did not convince me.

By the way, I really liked the comic character, Luis in previous episodes, but he didn’t show up in Quantumania.

Overview: It was still an 'okay' film, but disappointing.
