Launched in 2005, Supernatural made a bold entrance onto American telly, telling the story of the Winchester brothers, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles), escaping from a grim past. When the eerie death of Mary (Samantha Smith) occurred, Sam's dad became obsessed with avenging the wicked forces that took his wife, wiping out any demonic creature that crossed his path. Dean, the older bro, always wanted to follow in his father's footsteps, while Sam was all about jumping ship from the "family business".
The saga kept smashing it on screen until 2020, and even led to the spin-off The Winchesters, in 2022, zooming in on the adventures of Sam and Dean's parents, John and Mary (Drake Rodger and Meg Donnelly). Recently, there was a shock when Warner declared the end of the spin-off, which rocked the fanbase and even prompted Jensen Ackles to speak out on social media.

BUT WHAT'S THE SCOOP ON JARED PADALECKI AND JENSEN ACKLES POST-SUPERNATURAL?
The forever Sam Winchester, Jared Padalecki, is nailing it in the series Walker, a reboot of Walker, Texas Ranger, which originally had Chuck Norris at the helm. The series has already bagged its fourth season. Meanwhile, the bloke who brought Dean Winchester to life, Jensen Ackles, is in the troupe of The Boys, a series that's smashing it on Prime Video, playing Soldier Boy.

WAS THERE A TIFF BETWEEN JARED AND JENSEN?
When The Winchesters was announced, there was a rumour of a tiff between the two actors, as Jensen Ackles was in the spin-off's production and even appeared as Dean in a special appearance. Jared Padalecki, on the other hand, said he wasn't even called up, finding out about it on Twitter...
The drama was quickly smoothed over. In an interview, Ackles clarified that he didn't tell Padalecki because the project was only just getting off the ground. But the news leaked. The actor admitted that he would have preferred the squabble with Padalecki to have happened away from the limelight, but what matters is they've made up now.
The legacy left by Eric Kripke's horror series in both actors' careers is massive. It could be seen as a gift or a curse, depending on the perspective. But, as far as it seems, for the Supernatural duo, the characters are a source of great pride (and even a cause for arguments). Either way, it's the fans who are grateful.
