Cinderella's Curse | Animated Classic to Receive a Gore Version

Are we witnessing the beginning of a new trend in Hollywood? Following the emergence of a slasher version of Winnie the Pooh – which has even received a sequel – it was announced today (22) that Cinderella will also be given a terrifying makeover. According to Bloody Disgusting, the princess's story will be turned into a gore horror titled Cinderella's Curse.

Produced and directed by Louisa Warren (The Ghosts of Borley Rectory), the film is written by Harry Boxley (Mary Had A Little Lamb) and will begin filming next month in the United Kingdom. The cast includes Kelly Rian Sanson (Magic Mike: The Last Dance), Chrissie Wunna (Dinosaur Hotel), and Danielle Scott (Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey).

With production by ChampDog Films, the film is set to be released in October of this year.
