Dark

Time is associated with the act of love in times when forgetting is the great villain of our reality. Created by Swiss filmmaker Baran bo Odar and German filmmaker Jantje Friese, Dark arrived on the powerful Netflix streaming platform without much fanfare. It was enough for viewers to gradually finish the season for positive buzz to start. Well-crafted, with a strategically developed beginning, middle, and end, beautiful art direction, great cinematography, impeccable soundtrack, and a spectacular ensemble cast, this German production quickly became a cult phenomenon. It concluded its last season during the pandemic period the world experienced in 2020. Highly ranked in various lists by the world's leading film/series critics, Dark is a series that is hard to forget.

Tales from the Loop

Throughout the nearly hour-long episodes, with great directors behind each of them (including actress Jodie Foster, who shines behind the camera), and notable actors (especially Rebecca Hall and Jonathan Price) in the cast, we get to know a small American town and its inhabitants who, in some way, become entangled with The Loop, an experiment located underground (and employing many of the town's residents) that aims to unravel some of the universe's most complex mysteries. Thus, with each episode subtly intertwined (so it's important to watch in order), we see parallel realities, younger versions of the same person and the discoveries that stem from this fact, body swapping between friends, a man lost in grief seeking technology to protect his family, the creator of The Loop and the final phase of his life's journey, lovers who literally stop time to live in the moment, and more.
