It’s unanimous that the major highlight of the last day of CCXP23 was the Warner Bros. panel with all the news about “Dune: Part Two,” the most anticipated Sci-Fi sequel. In a lively conversation, Timothée Chalamet, Austin Butler, Zendaya, Florence Pugh, and Denis Villeneuve revealed some news about the second part of the movie, presenting us a featurette and the first 10 minutes of the film exclusively.
The featurette included some scenes of wars and giant bombings, as well as Javier Bardem facing Dave Bautista on the battlefield.
According to Rebecca Ferguson, who portrays Jessica Atreides, the new film will be “bigger than we could ever imagine,” and Timothée Chalamet said that the sequel will comprehend the full perspective of Denis Villeneuve as director.
At the panel, Villeneuve expressed his enthusiasm for resuming the story, which is an epic journey surrounded by romance, ambition, and action. “The first part was an appetizer, now the second one is the main course.”
The sequel is expected to premiere on March 1, 2024.
