I can't decide so I will let Emma Stone decide for me

Through the movies I have seen, there have been many characters I have felt charmed by. However, while thinking about them, I noticed an interesting pattern. Among the different names from different movies, a good number came from films featuring Emma Stone. The effortless charm of Emma Stone —the same magic that inspired Taylor Swift to write “When Emma Falls in Love”—also seems to attract equally charming and devoted love interests within her movies. Four characters who are caring, passionate, and dedicated towards their goals or beliefs.

First is, of course, Peter Parker—the most awkward yet endearing nerd. The superhero I would like to have a date with, because of who he was before and after gaining power. He understood that with great power comes great responsibility. But also that the biggest impact you can have comes from helping the people around you - your friendly neighborhood hero. He’s intelligent, kind, and self-deprecatingly funny. There’s a quiet confidence about him, even in his uncertainty, and his deep sense of responsibility only makes him more admirable. He would risk everything for the people he loves, and that unwavering devotion makes him captivating. Even in the moments, we know he is struggling, I would love to help him navigate life.

Next is Woodchuck Todd in Easy A. While Olive navigates rumors and judgment from her peers, there’s only one boy who doesn’t try to take advantage of her. The only one who sees her for who she truly is. Only one who will ride in on a lawnmower, blasting music, to dedicate a song to her. He’s the kind of guy who stays true to himself and doesn’t care about what others think—something rare and undeniably charming. Making him truly care about other people's feelings and who they are. As well as someone who would help her to make possible her dreams.

Then, we have Ryan Gosling’s first appearance on this list as Jacob in Crazy, Stupid, Love. A smooth-talking womanizer who seems effortlessly cool but hides a deeper side. His charm isn’t just in his confidence or well-tailored suits—it’s in the way he listens, the way he lets his guard down for the right person. He goes from a man who never believed in love to someone willing to fight for it—even if that means taking a punch from his girlfriend’s dad. There’s something irresistible about a character who learns to love fully, even when it terrifies him. And who would felt for him in the time of our lives moment?

And finally, Gosling returns as Sebastian in La La Land. A man so passionate about his dreams that he could talk about jazz for hours, and you’d listen—even if you didn’t care about jazz before. The kind of passion that opens doors—not just for him, but for the person he loves too. The sort of love that pushes you toward your dreams, even when it means sacrificing your happiness. The type of love that would make him look for you, even after a fight, to help make your dreams come true. He’s the kind of person who believes in something bigger than himself, and that belief—whether in music or love—is impossible to ignore.

They are four characters who are devoted to something, can be devoted to someone, would help you to make your dreams true, and would create a real connection (with real understanding) with you.
