Star Wars: Ashes of The Past

Star Wars: Ashes of the Past is an upcoming Star Wars film that blends horror and mystery aspects. This movie will lead into a TV series in Disney Plus.

THE PREMISE

After escaping after a deadly battle with the Siths, an exiled Jedi lives with his family in a remote planet trying to survive and forget the horrors of war. The past traumas start to kick in, his daughter starts to get possesed by an ancient spirit, and the family begins to rip apart from the inside.

The film will take place 11 years after the Order 66.

CHARACTERS

• Darius Korel: It‘s a former jedi that survived a big battle during the Order 66 and he has post traumatic reactions to the things he saw in there. He believes that hiding from that and running away in a remote planet with his family will save them for the atrocities of his past.
• Syria: She‘s the wife of Darius, she‘s sensitive to the force, but never trained for it. She has a deep connection to fire.
• Silvia: She‘s the daughter of Darius and Syria, she begins to hear voices in his head, she is dragging a entity between herself
• The Spirit

ACT 1

The story begins with an attack, how the Attack of the Clones begun but in another perspective. There‘s war, despair, death and a lot of torture. Then, we see Darius as young Jedi trying to stop this attacks and how some clones are attacking and Siths appearing out of nowhere. Darius with a strenght of courage, tries to use the force in everyone. He fails, when the Order 66 is unleashed, everything goes sideways. The jedis are retreating and Darius is still using the force and then a clone attacks him from behind with a shot in his back, Darius doesn‘t resist and he looks around, a dark shadow begins to descend from a platform and he points at him, but it‘s too late, he starts to get dizzy to the point that the clone brutally smacks his head to a wall.

The next scene is how a group of Jedis rescue Darius from a extreme procedure in a lab. The Siths are apparently experimenting on them. Darius is told to run, anywhere and the other jedis are separated and he tries to go with them. But one of them tells him that at least he has a family and they dont have anyone. Darius goes back to his plane and returns home. In the ship, he is scared, he screams, he is freaked out.

ACT 2

Darius now lives with his family in a remote planet across the galaxy, 11 years has passed since his escape and he has been training his wife and daughter on how to use the force. The planet is full of nature, it‘s a new planet that his mom told him in stories when he was little. Darius lives a normal life, they fish, the eat and hunt and they have build a big cabin. One day, the daughter tries to explore the area and discovers a cave near the beach and she sees a mural representing a Jedi executing his own padawan. This sets a chain of reactions, because it‘s revealed that Darius before his escape, he killed his padwan because he was about to betray him, when he alerted everyone and was one of the reasons to alarm the Order 66. Silvia begins to imitate the voice of the deceased padawan. For over the days, strange things begins to occur. Strange noises around the house, dark figures and Silvia using the force to torture his dad in a trance, using the voice of the padawan. The wife tries to escape in the ship, leaving his own daughter behind when she tried to kill her in the river. But they can‘t escape the planet, they‘re trapped.

ACT 3

Darius tries to kill the spirit by using an ancient ritual on his own daughter, but the entity is revealed not to be his padawan, but the spirit of ancient Sith who died in this planet, as he uses the memories of the people who touch this planet. The sith died at the hands of a Jedi, and the land was cursed since then. The Spirit can only let go of the child if there‘s a sacrifice to be made. A life for a life. Darius tries to sacrifice himself to save his daughter, but then is stopped by his wife, as she slices her throat and dies instantly. Darius screams as she sees his wife dying in his arms and the spirit smiles. Darius leaves the planet with his recovered daughter, but the ship is broken, they have no escape. No communication. Before Darius promises his daughter something, they hear strange noises in the cave.

ENDING

The daughter begins to trance again, and Darius faints after the noise becomes too unbearable. Darius wakes up in the cave, he hears something and calls for his daughter, but he pulls up his lightsabler, it‘s blue. In front of him, there‘s a figure that appears in the darkness, it‘s his Padawan, with the face burned and the empty eyes, he extends his hand. Darius says to him that he‘s sorry. As he pulls down in sadness, a bright light appears and his daughter rises up and with his empty eyes, a fire around him is spreading without feeling the heat, Darius scared sees his daughter rised up.

A voice is heard, like a mix between the daughter and a sinister one. “Now, you understand“ as Darius watches and fire spreads as we see in the reflection of his eye, the fire exploding.

Then, the movie leads into a anthology horror series, each episode is a different character and situation, but same location. The premise is set a year after the events of the film and a group of rebels who are curious about this planet that has been closed by the Empire, decides to do their own things in there, but the whole plot of the series is trying to figure it out who is this ancient spirt and how to defeat him.
