There are few series that are out of the ordinary and Lucifer is one of them. A love story full of drama, played by Tom Ellis, who was expelled from the kingdom of heaven, bored with life, decides to move to the city of Los Angeles, where he runs his nightclub. However, the rebel son of God was an original creation of the Fox channel. Almost a decade ago this show arrived, and although it is hard to believe, the first three seasons the audience numbers were low.

In 2016 Warnes Bors TV, managed to get a renewal for the second season and an early renewal for the third, in a total of nine months. The hard-hitting story continued for the third season with the devilishly charming Lord of Hell (Ellis), helping the Los Angeles Police Department, take down the villains.
Lucifer, was based on characters from the comic book world, with creators such as Neil Gaiman, Mike, starring Tom Ellis, Rachel Harris, Tricia Helfer, Kevin Alejandro, Scarlett Estevez and Scarlett Estevez.
Why did FOX decide to cancel it?
The departure of the series in 2018 surprised thousands of fans, including the protagonist Ellis, who was in a meeting when he heard the news, generating sadness. But, fortunately, Netflix decided to buy the copyrights, generating impact on the raiting, which led to the renewal of the fourth season until the sixth season.
The decision to culminate the series was based on the narrative story arcs rather than the dark content. It succeeded because of the mix of crime and supernatural aspects in each scene that developed the characters. Fox did not own the copyrights to Lucifer, and the series was not getting ratings, which was the main reason for its cancellation.
Although it was canceled, it became one of the great international successes of the Netflix platform. It was not wrong to make the decision and give it a new path within its catalog. Not only did it manage to unite fans, but it gained millions of followers. The renewal of the fifth and sixth seasons was considered a triumph.
The end of an era, this is the farewell of a successful series after several seasons; however, why didn't they bet on the seventh season? The creators had mentioned that the series would end with the fifth season. But Netflix renewed the fiction by surprise and the fans received that great idea with enthusiasm.
According to what they explained to Entertainainmen Weekly, that the idea of the Netflix platform was to close the last installment, with the aim of creating a story with a perfect denouement. The showrunners of Angel Fallen from the Sky expressed “The story that was going to be reflected but in a longer and more interesting way. I'm sad to think it wouldn't be realized this way. We needed to explore which way our characters ended.”
The series culminated with a closed finale in season 6, marking the end of time for the wonderful Lucifer Morningstar saga.
