Review: Housefull 5 (A & B) (2025) – A Familiar Laughter Parade With Diminishing Returns

The film heavily leans into the kind of adult-leaning humor seen in Grand Masti, with punchlines often built around double meanings and exaggerated situations. While some of this works, much of it feels dated — like a throwback to early 2010s comedy that’s been dusted off and repackaged without much reinvention.

Akshay Kumar, the OG king of this franchise, tries his best to inject some energy and charm. His comic timing is still sharp, and he remains one of the few consistent bright spots. However, even his charisma can’t carry the weight of a film packed with unnecessary subplots and extended sequences that serve little purpose.

The runtime feels bloated, stretching well past what’s needed for a comedy of this kind. Entire segments could’ve been trimmed without affecting the core narrative — assuming there was a strong one to begin with. Instead, the film often meanders from gag to gag, relying more on volume than wit.Even Ritesh has Done impeccable job. Many Actor they wasted in this film like they are only the sidekicks like fardeen and shreyas.

Another glaring issue is the poor visual effects. At a time when audiences expect a certain polish, Housefull 5 delivers cartoonish CGI that often feels out of sync with the rest of the film. Whether it’s exaggerated backgrounds or over-the-top stunts, the VFX ends up drawing more laughs than intended — and not in a good way.

Spoiler- A & B is 99% Same thing except the Character replacement it was just the marketing strategy not a premium of writing.

Final Verdict:
Housefull 5 is loud, flashy, and occasionally funny — but its overlong runtime, outdated humor, and lazy effects keep it firmly in the middle of the pack. A 3-star entertainer that delivers the fun… just not the freshness.
