Welcome to Season 3 of Euphoria or as I called it Narcos: Euphoria, because it changes the blue filter for yellow and it gives different characters from the previous seasons.
This time Season 3 is set years later after high school and Rue is working as a drug mule for a very important drug kingpin to repay what she owed, but at the same is trying to navigate her life, while other characters are transitioning into adult life with their respective problems.

This is NOT Euphoria
Euphoria Season 3 was basically made because HBO had a contract, but Sam Levinson wrote this story if he was a big fan of NARCOS and The Hangover Part 3, because this doesn‘t feel like the real Euphoria that we all know and love. Laberinth didn‘t return to do the music and was replaced by Hans Zimmer.
Zimmer is a great composer, but his music doesn‘t fit the style of the show. It feels like you‘re grandpa trying to be cool for once.
Season 3 Is Pointless
The Season has so many storylines, but all goes back to Rue and his escape from the drug world, Nate marries Cassy, but he is in a deeper trouble himself, because after the arrest of his father, Nate inherits his company, but he is greedy and tries to borrow money from anyone to build his empire. But at the same time is trying to escape from the people who owes them.
The characters are very different from previous seasons, and honestly it‘s set years later, but this is not the way Sam Levinson has been evolving their stories. It feels like a complete different story.

Filler Episodes
Euphoria Season 3 is infested with filler episodes that doesn‘t get the plot moving, instead it derails to see how Sydney Sweeney needs this show more than anything. The cast is still superb in their roles, but their characters are pretty much an entire new persona that feels off.
The cinematography changed to yellow filter to give the Narcos vibes, and even some of Sicario inspired shots. Sam Levinson shoot the series with a new format in Kodak and that‘s great, but the television format doesn‘t need that fancy term to say ‘I‘m a filmmaker, see me‘.
Conclusion
The end of the season is the final nail in the coffin, because it‘s giving so much potential storylines for future seasons, but the cast looks tired and without the focus of the previous seasons, that if this is the end, at least ended in a good note.
