Favourite SNL Sketch?

On NBC and its streaming platform, Peacock, there is a new documentary series titled SNL 50: Beyond Saturday Night. It commemorates 50 years of Saturday Night Live, the infamous sketch-comedy show that has given us comedic celebrities like Norm Macdonald, Eddie Murphy, Tina Fey, Will Ferrell and Marcello Hernandez.

SNL 50: Beyond Saturday Night has me wondering about the best sketch/character the show ever created.

For me, one that I absolutely love is a Weekend Update character created by Bobby Moynihan named Anthony Crispino who receives all of his news second-hand.

Follow the link for a clip featuring Crispino and his the third-hand news guys, Angelo Skaggs (played by Ryan Gosling): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6t7h2VyEm4M

What is your favourite SNL sketch/character of all time? Let me know in the comments below!!!

I've only really watched modern SNL, and I don't even know if they count as "sketches", but basically anything from Please Don't Destroy is gold to me.

Any of the celebrity Jeopardy skits with Norm MacDonald and Darrell Hammond always crack me up. I love their banter with Will Farrell as he tries to keep the train on the tracks.

Chris Farley's inspirational speaker always gets me. Will Ferrell has so many great recurring ones too - the Bill Braskey sketches, the weird hot tub couple, the Spartan cheerleader sketches with Cheri Oteri. Do you include the Lonely Island video stuff? My Dick in a Box comes to mind.

I really love SNL. No matter what, some folks will always be down on it, but they've been on a good run this year and last. Especially with Colin Jost and Michael Che on Weekend Update. Those two are great together.

Not a character but Norm MacDonald as the Weekend Update host was the absolute best. Debbie Downer was great and I also love the 'don't make me sing' sketch with Kristen Wiig
