Any Reaction to 'The Last of Us' SE02?

I just finished the first episode, and I liked the most part. Joel is old, but great. He seems to try hard in changing his character so he can get alone with Ellie. Well play Pedro Pascal, you are such a great actor. The scene where Dina suddenly kissed Ellie was weird to me, I didn't understand the chemistry (perhaps I'm a show-only fan, so I didn't know what they were like in the game). And the way she shouted at Joel…was too much. Adding how she broke the rules during patrol, she is becoming a much less likable character.

The setting is still exciting though, the smart stalker zombie, the supposedly dead plant somehow came back to alive, and at the same time old fireflies approaching to revenge, there is gonna be a big fight. Let's see how it goes!

I enjoyed it! I like the 5 year jump, and the new dynamics that's brought to the characters. I also felt a giant sense of foreboding throughout the entire episode. I feel like things are going to get really stressful, really quick.

Me gusta. I thought it was handled very well. Some of the lines in Abby's monologue were a bit cringe, but overall it was pretty impactful. The horde chase scene with Abby was also one of my fav scenes in the game and I thought they translated it very well into the series. The choice to have Dina present for Joel's death instead of Tommy was also an interesting diversion from the game, and I look forward to seeing how that affects the future dynamic between the three of them.

I just finished EP 2 and oh boy.... I was not prepared!! Having not played the game, I had no idea what was coming. So shocking! It seems that the fight between Ellie and Joel was placed to make the plot turn of the end of EP2 more impactful. Sheesh. Great storytelling, but hard to watch.

Also, wondering why all those infected were out there in the snow? Did the villagers put them there? Why not burn them? Also, where were the other two horses at the end? // Why wouldn't the Fireflies take the horses?

I also really want to know how everyone feels about the second season. I played the game and the second installment was terrible, completely serving DEI, so I don't really want to watch the TV series at the moment.
