To celebrate its 200th anniversary after its foundation in 19th November 1819, legendary movie star Jeremy Irons turns in visitor and narrator of the Spanish The Prado Museum located in City of Madrid (Madrid, center to Spain and country's capital) to walk by the different halls through of the more 1700 works and 7000 art treasures collected inside it, explaining the origins of the museum at early 19th century, that involved some kings and queens of Spain across the time, as well as some of the most important painters of history as Tiziano, El Greco, Velázquez, Rubens, Bruegel, Mantegna, Goya and Bosch. Named originally Museo Real de Pinturas and created by an aging King Carlos V of Spain and I of Germany in the attempt to make a legacy for all the country, Carlos' descendants became at the same time in kings and art dealers, collecting the last six centuries of Spain adding new pictures from another painters as themselves portrayed for the immortality in impressive pictures as The Meninas, preserving paint styles as Renaissance and Baroque. Cradle of universal art with about 3 million visitors per year, The Prado Museum is recognized as one of the most important museums in the entire world, turning it in a treasure of incalculable value and heritage of culture for all human kind (rulers, painters, artists, architects, collectors, engineers, curators, physics, intellectuals, historians...), that it tells the story not only a country, but a continent. As Goya said, "when abandoned by reason, imagination produces impossible monsters; united with her, she is the mother of the arts and the origin of their wonders."

The title refers to Madrid's central square (from which all distances within Spain are measured). Zero may also describe the state of the lives of 14 strangers. The stories of these fourteen collide at this meeting point on a sultry August afternoon. Mistaken identities and second chances are among the results of this comedy of errors featuring, among other characters, a horny & gay university student, an internet-love seeker flamenco dancer, a macho but lovelorn gigolo, an actress, and a businessman starved for new sexual experiences.

Who is this double, where she comes from and why she appears are questions that I am not interested in answering in the film. This is just the starting point that is accepted as the motor that helps Ana to have the courage to fight for her own existence. Ana tries to make her own runaway possible breaking with everything, looking for her own limits, living a life opposed to whatever everybody expected from her. The action will be set in 3 scenarios where Ana, now called Nina, will start living her new life: The hostel where she settles down, an old fashioned Music Hall, and Marcelo, a man who is also running away from something. And also the night. The night as the scenario where she can hide from reality. But the freedom she thought she had discovered, little by little becomes no more than loneliness, lies, and characters who, as she, one day escaped. Is it too late to return to her previous life? Is it possible to run away from one-self?

Nina is a 20-year-old girl from Valladolid who lives with her divorced father, a conservative authoritarian. Trini is the same age and has lost her mother. Their families and hometown have nothing to offer, so they go on a risky voyage to the Costa del Sol in southern Spain and stop in Madrid to search for work and independence.
