During the final days of world war one, a German army deserter steals the identity of a dead German soldier. His new name is Otto Josef Klems. After the war, he joins the French Foreign Legion as Sergeant Otto Josef Klems. The year 1924 finds him in a French Foreign Legion garrison in French Morocco. Two European powers, France and Spain, control colonial Morocco. However, both colonial powers face strong rebellions from the local Moroccan tribes that unite in order to defeat the European armies and achieve independence for Morocco. During the course of his duties in Morocco, Sergeant Klems runs afoul of a new brutal commanding officer, a Captain. Disgusted by his Captain's behavior and by the treatment of locals at the hands of the French troops, Sergeant Klems decides to desert. It seems that others, too, had the same idea, since many native troops desert the French garrison at night. On such a night, Sergeant Klems is on duty and surprises a group of French soldiers of native origin, desert to the enemy. Klems refuses to shoot the escaping deserters, due to his personal friendship with some of them. Unfortunately, his Captain finds out about Klems' refusal to shoot the deserting soldiers and court-martials Klems. Found guilty, Klems is condemned to prison but he escapes from the garrison's jail-cell and deserts. Wondering in the desert, he collapses in the heat and without water or food. He is found by a passing Bedouin who takes Klems prisoner and sells him to the rebel army of rebel Moroccan leader Mohamed Abdel Krim. At the rebel stronghold, Klems is about to be executed by the rebels when he witnesses an accident. A group of rebels attempt to load a captured French howitzer with the wrong caliber ammunition. While hammering the round into the gun's barrel, the round explodes killing many rebels. Klems intervenes and saves the life of a beautiful Moroccan woman who happened by. She turns out to be the sister of the rebel leader. Klems tries to tell the rebels they cannot load a gun with the wrong type of shell but the rebels, who only speak Arabic, dismiss him. At that moment, the rebel leader Mohamed Abdel Krim, who speaks a few European languages, notices the incident. He allows Klems to explain the correct procedure of loading and firing an artillery piece to the curious rebels. Sensing an opportunity to save his own life, Klems offers to teach the rebels how to properly use captured enemy artillery pieces. But he also has another reason to want to stay alive. He wants to meet the beautiful woman whose life he just saved. Eventually, the rebel leader Mohamed Abdel Krim allows Klems to join his rebel army and to meet his sister. However, a small rebel army of natives has little chance in defeating the combined armies of several European powers that are determined to end the rebellion by any modern military means necessary.

One day when she was least expecting love or attention from anywhere she was helped by a boy at a bus stand with whom she accidentally bumped in. The guy used to get a different bus from the same bus stand so it was very possible for girls to see him every day. The first time she felt was treated as if she were a matter in her little world. She begin to have fantasies where this same boy took more care of her or treated her correctly. Now, every day she waits at the bus stand for this boy to come and she can share a little smile with him. In spite of this just a casual smile she get from him from far at the bus stand, she started to stay happy throughout the day. Her confidence was started to boost. She is now poured with the interest of having someone and begin to wish to approach and win him. Her interest is now making her social as she asked Nisha her colleague and searched the internet about how a guy can be approached. Now in her house, she begins to long for some freedom. One day She silently sneak out of her house and visit the bus stand where she met her crush for the first time. That was the first time she felt like she tasted the freedom of life. ? Next day she has decided to propose to this guy. She was nervously waiting for him at the bus stop. He came a little late that day. After practising in her mind she finally made an effort to approach her. Guy welcomes her very gently. She asked a guy to be the love of her life and suddenly his bus arrived and he get on it y replying yes'. Arefa felt the seven sky under her feet. She didn't go to the office that day and was roaming the city with constant smiles upon her face and fantasies on her head. But little did she knows that destiny plays her differently here. The guy who gets on the bus is talking with another girl who is asking the same things as Arefa and the reply that he has given was to a girl on the phone but not Arefa. ? Palestinians Said and Khaled, now in young adulthood, have been lifelong friends living in Nablus in the West Bank. They have both had what they consider a difficult life, now working side-by-side in unfulfilling jobs as auto mechanics in a small garage, being unfulfilling as difficult as the jobs were to get. Those difficult lives includes feeling like they are prisoners in the West Bank, Said who has only left the region once on a medical issue when he was six. They blame all their problems on the oppression by the Israelis. As such, they have volunteered and have been accepted by a Palestinian resistance group to carry out a suicide bombing mission in Tel Aviv: after the initial response to the first bomb, the second bomb would be detonated at the same site. Following the bombing, the resistance group would release pre-taped video messages of Said and Khaled confessing to the bombing in the name of God. The mission would require Said and Khaled to cross "illegally" into Israel. They are not afraid of death in light of their deaths having some meaning, and in feeling like their lives are like being dead anyway. In the process of carrying out the mission, they end up being separated which could jeopardize not only the mission but their individual lives without their death being in the name of a cause, that is if they cannot locate each other. In this their time apart, Said and Khaled may have time to think about what they are about to do, their thoughts not only shaped by their different family histories, but Said's budding friendship/romance with a young woman named Suha, the daughter of a wealthy and famed Palestinian, she who has only recently moved back to the West Bank after years living overseas.
