Troy H Lewis

Troy Poet Lewis was born on July 7th, 1977, in Newark, New Jersey, to Sheila Hinnant and James Lewis. He is the youngest out of 8 siblings, 6 brothers and 2 sisters. Lewis graduated from Weequahic High School "Indians" in 1995. He now resides in Newark, New Jersey. Troy Lewis stands for Integrity. He is the Founder of the National Poetry Awards that dedicates to poets and spoken word artist throughout the United States. This is his way of giving back to the community. National Poetry Awards was founded in 2009. He is also a writer of poetry. With in the last 3 years; he has self published 3 poetry books, 1 novel and 2 CDs. He is also the Founder of Silent Myndz Group which is a team of writers, hip hop artists and singers that reach across the USA. They recently release Writers of The States and other musical compilations. In 2007 Lewis landed his first extra role in a music video for Hip Hop artist Bakem Da Black Soul.
