Biography

Cristo Fernández is a Mexican actor and filmmaker born in Guadalajara, Jalisco. Before acting, Fernández began his professional life as a soccer player, however some physical injuries motivated him to pursue another path and discover new passions. He went to college and after completing a BA degree in Communications at UNIVA GDL, he began actively pursuing creative outlets and a career as an actor and filmmaker. He moved to London to further his studies and was awarded his master's degree from the Guildford School of Acting at the University of Surrey. After finishing his masters program, Fernández set his goals to creating independent projects as an actor, director, writer & producer, so he would have a reel and body of work to show. The plan paid off when Fernández won the role of "Dani Rojas" the beloved and talented AFC Richmond football player, on the multiple "Emmy winning" television comedy series "Ted Lasso", for Apple TV +.
