Biography

Elliott Hasler is a British film director from Sussex. Aged 16 Hasler's debut feature 'WWII: The Long Road Home' received critical acclaim, with Culture Trip's Graham Fuller citing Hasler as "the next Spielberg". Since then, Hasler has gone on to make a number of short films, including 'To Hunt a Tiger', which premiered in 2019 at Soneva Jani's open air Maldives cinema. Whilst reading History at Exeter University, Hasler came across Mercedes Gleitze, who in 1927 became the first British woman to swim the English Channel. Inspired by Gleitze's story, Hasler wrote his next feature 'Vindication Swim', which will be released in 2022.
