Biography

Rayyan Ali is an Sudanese-American actress, activist, and writer. Born in Harlem, New York to a Sudanese Mother ( Amna Al- Faki Ali), an import and export specialist and an American Father ( Abdus Salaam Ali), an artist and businessman. From her Mother she is the oldest of two; from her father's, she is the youngest daughter of twenty-three siblings. at the Age of 8 Months, she was sent to Sudan to live with her Grandmother. She attended Arabic School there until the Age of 10. When she did return to the USA, her mother passed away a year after. Rayyan learned English at elementary school P.S. 208, then middle school Booker T. Washington where she joined The Track team and Theatre club. She continued Her creative process at the Beacon school. She went on to study Biotechnology for a few years; Later, she dropped out and began her studies at the American Academy of dramatic arts.
