Boni Mata

Boni Mata is a Spanish-American actor, writer, and director. Her mother is British-American and her father is Andalusian. She lived her whole life between California and Mallorca, Spain, spending some years between London and France. She lives in her birthplace of Los Angeles and maintains a dwelling in Mallorca. Boni graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Berkeley, and studied literature at the Université de Bordeaux III and the University of Cambridge, UK where she developed a love for reading and performing theatrical works. Her passion for cinema stems from an underlying love of narrative in its many forms and has translated into an interdisciplinary career both in front of and behind the camera. She often performs in her own work, blending acting and directing in a practice that spans both comedic and dramatic genres.
