Genny Lis Padilla

Genny Lis Padilla is an American actress. Throughout her career she has collaborated with Oscar, Grammy, Emmy, and Tony award winners. In her theatrical career she has had the honor to portray iconic roles for Latin women on Broadway, Off-Broadway, nationally and internationally. Most notably she was an original member of the Broadway cast of On Your Feet!, directed by Jerry Mitchell, where she originated the role of Rebecca Fajardo and covered the leading role of Gloria Estefan. Early in her career she toured nationally and internationally with the hit Broadway musical Rent. She was later cast in the revival of the show Off-Broadway under the critically acclaimed, original Broadway director Michael Greif. She also starred as Nina Rosario in the 1st national tour of In The Heights, directed by Thomas Kail.
