The Get Up Kids are an American rock band from Kansas City, Missouri, initially active from 1995-2005. They've been touring and recording sporadically since 2008. Members are Matt Pryor, Jim Suptic, Rob Pope, and Ryan Pope. Highly influential to bands like Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance, the Get Up Kids were instrumental in the popularity of the emo genre.
