Biography

Tina Hardwell was raised in Stone Mountain, Georgia in the community of Smoke Rise. She attended Smoke Rise Elementary and Greater Atlanta Christian School. As a child, Tina was active in school, community and professional musical theater. Her father, F.K. Wells was a Captain for Delta Airlines. He met her Canadian mother, Rose Marie Eich (a flight attendant for Eastern) while living in the same Atlanta base. Tina's parents instilled a love of music within her. Her father played the trombone, harmonica and accordion in many Atlanta jazz bands. Her mother grew up on stage and later, directed the children's choir at Eastminster Presbyterian Church. The Wells family had season tickets to The Alliance Theatre, where Tina would later train extensively. After attending the BFA program at Florida State University, Tina moved to Panama City Beach, Florida to soak up the sun and "play" music.
