Jana Lewis

Jana Lewis is an American actress, singer, and ballroom-dancer-in-training from the San Francisco Bay Area. She is the eldest of four children, and only daughter born to working-class parents Art and Patricia Lewis. Jana was home-schooled on and off for most of her childhood, and spent "recess" lost in make-believe; recording "radio shows" onto cassette tapes using a toothbrush as a microphone in the mirror with a wide cast of characters (all played by herself). Weekends were full of chain-reading mystery novels, helping with her brother's little league games, and playing in nearby woodsy creeks, hiking and catching Salamanders with her late father. Jana credits a musical theater instructor in 8th grade as the teacher who helped awaken her love of performance and the dramatic arts. This led to her subsequent relocation to Southern California at the age of 19.
