Biography

After realizing that she was a square peg in a round hole when it came to corporate America, Stephanie finally faced the inevitable; she was a creative soul and needed to express it in a major way. She began taking acting workshops back in the early 1970's at National Black Theatre and later Double Image Theatre. In 1978 she auditioned for and was accepted into NYU School of The Arts and studied acting in their rigorous Theatre Program. She views that as the most rewarding experience in her life on many levels. She considers herself to be a dramatic actress, loving to reach emotional depths. However, she is quite the ham. Born and raised in the South Bronx, Stephanie's early exposure to diverse cultures had a major impact on how she uses her talents. Her plays/screenplays and other projects have reflected cultural activism in her quest to fight ignorance, to foster the appreciation for diversity, and address many social issues.
