Jeanne Taylor was born in Detroit, Michigan and attended Chippewa Valley High School. The first time she went on stage was in her school variety show, improvising with her best friend as Carol Burnett's Eunice and Momma characters. Jeanne was lucky enough back then to share the drama club stage with future director and then magician, Paul Feig. She attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo for Theatre and vocal Music. There, she was lucky to share the stage with future Broadway star Marin Mazzie. Not to mention her good fortune at meeting her talented future husband, Thom Floutz, in the college dormitory! Following her work in Kalamazoo theater, Jeanne became a first alternate at Wayne State University's Hilberry Reparatory Company. She gained her Equity card at Detroit's Attic and Meadowbrook Theatres before moving to Chicago. There she pursued improvisation and acting as part of the Zebra Crossing Theatre Company. Improvising in Detroit, Chicago, and currently in Los Angeles, she is a frequent performer at the Upright Citizen Brigade (UCB). She enjoyed the run of her one-woman show: Craft Service Table, the Musical, at UCB's Sunset Theatre. An Indie sweetheart, she has earned many leading actress awards for the short films and web series, which she has written and produced. Her short films, The Co-star and The Co-star: Master Acting Class, have won multiple awards including Best Comedy, Audience Favorite, Best Short Film, Best Screenplay and 6 Leading Actress awards. Her web series, Mrs. Carmody & Mrs. Jellineck has also won multiple awards, including Best Web series, Best Comedy Series, Women Filmmakers, Script Writing, and additional Leading Actress awards for Jeanne. Classically trained as a versatile character actress and performing in over 40 stage productions, she's grateful for her teachers: Jeffrey Tambor (Master Class), Abigail Deser (Steppenwolf), Lynn Redgrave (Beverly Hills), Ada Brown Mather (Juilliard), Hal Holbrook (WMU) and Kyle Donnelly (The Actors' Center Chicago). Jeanne currently shares her Zoom screen and ring light with her white boxer, Sammi.
