Gary Reimer

Gary (Douglas) Reimer was born in North London to an accountant father and a tax manager mother. He is of English and Scottish descent on his mother's side and Irish, Canadian, Russian, German and Dutch descent on his father's side. As a child, he briefly spent time in Canada, where he became a naturalized citizen, before returning to the UK aged eight. He comes from a diverse religious background. He was raised Mormon in England and even served as a Mormon missionary in Ireland in his early twenties. His grandfather grew up as a Mennonite in Canada before converting to Anglican after meeting his grandmother in London during the second world war. In recent years, Gary has distanced himself from religion though he deeply respects anyone with faith and religious beliefs. Aged seven, Gary was diagnosed with ADHD and has done a lot of work throughout his life helping others with the condition, particularly parents and teachers, to help them understand how best to serve the needs of those
