Biography

Jackson Murphy (a.k.a. Lights-Camera-Jackson) began his career as a movie critic at the age of 7 1/2, doing reviews on an Upstate N.Y. radio station. A few years later he moved to TV, reviewing films on YNN, Time Warner's regional 24-hour all-news network. Jackson made his first national TV appearance in the summer of 2009, interviewed from the audience on "Live with Regis and Kelly". But is was a guest spot on "Fox and Friends" in March of 2010, during which Jackson made his Oscar predictions, that prompted the news/entertainment world to start taking notice (and, yes, he nailed all of his picks). In the summer of 2010 Murphy appeared on "Today" and then "The Early Show", following which he was signed as a contributing critic on the CBS show. In February of 2011 Jackson made his first late-night appearance, on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno", again making his Oscar picks (and, again, he got them all correct).
