Ethan James

Ethan James was born in a small town in Southeast Texas. He grew up with aspirations of becoming a writer, as he wrote poetry and short stories during his elementary, middle, and high school years. He studied poetry and prose/short fiction at Texas A&M University where he earned his BA and MA. During this time, he also served as editor in chief of the university newspaper (largest student-run print publication in the nation at the time), worked as a city news reporter, and managed a regional entertainment magazine. In the fall of 2005, after graduate school, he headed off to Tennessee to tackle his PhD in film and children's literature. He furthered a previous interest in photography and soon developed his photography studio - Ethan James Photography. He received his PhD in 2010 and teaches college English (composition, literature, business writing, creative writing, research) with a film emphasis.
