Jessica M. Thompson is an Emmy-nominated Australian filmmaker who resides in Los Angeles. Jess made her feature writing-directorial debut with "The Light of the Moon", which won the Audience Award for Best Narrative Film at the SXSW Film Festival. "The Light of the Moon", starring Stephanie Beatriz (In The Heights, Brooklyn Nine-Nine), enjoyed a limited theatrical release to sold-out screens in both New York and Los Angeles, and heralds a 97% Rotten Tomatoes score. The Hollywood Reporter stated, "Thompson clearly has a knack with actors, coaxing sharp, believable performances", and Hollywood News named it "the timeliest movie of the year."
