Biography

Stephen Donnelly grew up in Selkirk, New York, USA, with a affinity for photography and writing. Although he still loved the camera, at the age of 17, he dropped out of school to become a writer. Attempting to acquire the experience necessary to become a novelist he spent the next decade traveling the States and abroad while writing short fiction, essays and screenplays. The desire to film his screenplay, "The Steam Engine", turned his eye once again to the camera. In order to complete the project acting became a necessity for Donnelly. With an approach to acting that is both unpredictable and analytical, Stephen Donnelly brings an undercurrent of intelligence and intuition to the variety roles he has played. His uninhibited look and piercing dark eyes usually has him cast in more sinister roles such as the corrupt Sheriff Billy Dean in "24K" and the demonic Abdul Alhazred in "Peripheral"; although his comedic turn as stoner Robbie Mocatobi in "A Fish Story" has garnered many positive
