Kyla was born and raised in Vancouver BC and got her first taste for acting when she got involved with Project Limelight at the age of 8. As soon as she went on stage, she realized how much she loved acting. Project Limelight has 'Acting for Film and TV programs' where she was able to act alongside professional actors and learn about the filming process. Her favourite role was playing an edgy version of Goldilocks for a Project Limelight performance where she sang in a Kiss cover band and was a habitual thief with a criminal record for breaking and entering.
