Biography

Philippe Debaty was born and raised in the French Alps and was first bitten by the acting bug in College at the Ecole Centrale de Lyon Theater Club when performing a supporting role in The Importance of Being Earnest, by Oscar Wilde. He moved to San Francisco in 1999 then Los Angeles in 2012. He trained as an actor at the San Francisco School of Digital Filmmaking, the Shari Carlson studio, the Beverly Hills Playhouse, and is an ongoing acting student at the Anthony Meindl Acting Studio. He has played in over 30 film, television, and commercial productions. In 2009, his performance as lead in short film The Audition received a nomination for best acting at the Seven Day Film festival. In 2012, he ventured behind the camera by writing, producing, and starring in a short comedy, "The Life of Eric Richards", which won several awards, including the best film award at the San Francisco Scary Cow Film Festival, best short short award at the AIFF festival, and was officially selected and scr
