Max Barsness

Max Barsness was born in Boise, Idaho, to Charlotte Lanier (LCSW) & James Barsness (Painter). He grew up in the theatre/arts community. Traveling across the country with his parents whilst father solidified his career as a painter. He got his first taste of acting in NYC before his parents divorced. His mother moved back to Idaho and his father to Venice, California. He wound up splitting his time between both places. Partaking in theatre and commercial. He attending high school in both Boise & Venice respectfully. Since permanently relocating to Los Angeles in 2004, he has performed in both theatre and television. He produced his first feature film in 2012 (A Beer Tale) He helped co found The Markland Studio which sees a new approach to acting as well as writing for young and upcoming professionals. He is currently heads up the Audition coaching there. In 2020 Max had his short film (Waiting to Kill), which he co-wrote, starred, and produced premiere at the Mammoth Film Festival.
