Jennifer Taing

A true southern Californian girl, Jennifer Taing was born in Los Angeles' Chinatown neighborhood. She lived in several Los Angeles County cities (including Glendale, Alhambra, and Monterey Park) before moving to the city of Garden Grove in Orange County just shy of her 5th birthday. In Garden Grove, Jennifer attended Clinton-Mendenhall Elementary School, Doig Intermediate School, and Santiago High School. In elementary school, Jennifer was actively involved in girl scouts (troop 1918), the school orchestra (she played the violin), and the school chorus. While attending intermediate school, she was involved with the school newspaper and was a part of the yearbook staff. At Santiago High School, Jennifer continued to stay busy with her school's key club, yearbook staff, color guard, swim team, and water polo team. On the weekends, she worked at her family's donut shop (Friend's Donuts), located in Santa Ana. Not wanting to stray too far from her southern Californian roots, Jennifer
