Biography

Madelyn Deutch is a writer, actor, director, and musician from Los Angeles, California. Beginning as a singer, she spent a large part of her childhood performing on stage in charity events. This prompted her admission into the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts where she began writing her own music and participating in institutions like the Grammy Ensemble, the Monterey Jazz Festival, and winning the esteemed Silver Award from the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts. Upon graduation she was offered a scholarship to attend The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, with a concentration in voice. However, once in university, she immediately turned her attention to filmmaking and composing. She graduated with honors and went on to act in independent films such as "50-1" and "Windsor", and television like History mini series "Texas Rising" and Cinemax's "Outcast."
