Dwight Sora

Dwight Sora is half-Japanese (father) and half-Korean (mother). Grew up in the Chicago suburb of River Forest. Has studied the Japanese martial art of aikido since 1993 and holds a rank of sandan (third degree black belt). Started while an exchange student attending Waseda University in Tokyo. Graduated from the University of Chicago in 1995 with a B.A. in East Asian Languages & Civilizations. Attended Oak Park River Forest High School, 1987-1991. Fellow students during that time included actor/writer Tom Lennon ('88), actress Kate Norby ('94), award-winning stage composer/sound designer Ben Sussman ('90) and astronomer Chad Trujillo ('91). Understudied for actors Andrew Pang and Keong Sim during the Chicago run of "After the Quake" at Steppenwolf Theatre. Provided voiceover for a 2008 industry launch video for the Nintendo E3 Animal Crossing City Folk game.
