Biography

Judith Wellner is an IMEA Award winning actress, producer, model, visual artist and freelance writer. She was the co-founder of the Bay Area-based theatre company Red & Black Stage and art director, producer, stage manager of ScripTease Improv & Sketch comedy. She completed a 2-year Meisner technique curriculum led by former Neighborhood Playhouse teacher, Ian McRae, as well as earned her M.A. at the Drama Department of the University of Bristol, UK in Television Studies where she focused on the work of Tom Stoppard. In the Bay Area, she studied with Billie Shepard at the San Jose Repertory Theatre. She also holds an M.A. in Communications and English (ELTE University, Budapest), and studied Radio Production at the University of Bordeaux. She studied creative writing with Zoetrope, San Francisco. As a writer and editor, she has worked for several companies in Europe and the US, including the BBC and Google.
