Biography

Tajna Tanovic has been immersed in the performing arts from a young age, beginning in the theatre in former Yugoslavia and subsequently in Germany and the U.S. She was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia to a director / playwright mother and a journalist father. She was 1 when she starred in her first film playing a boy. Her first theater role came at age 6 playing Hamlet's mother Gertrude, followed by the role of Liza Minnelli in "Kids Cabaret" at age 7. In New York she co-founded Theater TAS, a performing arts and multimedia production company and has produced special events for the Tribeca Film Festival, among others, as part of Dalzell Productions. In September 2011 she self-released her debut EP album "I Think of You" of 5 original songs recorded in Brooklyn. The video for the title song, shot in Los Angeles, was written by her and directed by director / producer Samuel Nozik.
