Biography

Born in 1981, Daniel grew up near Reading in England. He started making animations at the age of ten and developed a passion for live action narratives that he filmed with school friends and edited cruedly on a VCR. Daniel's first experience of being on a professional film set was as an extra in The Land Girls (1998), starring Rachel Weisz, Catherine McCormack and Anna Friel. In 2004, he met filming compadre Rishi Thaker on a community film course. After just a few minutes of talking, they had the idea for a short zero-budget horror A Mid-Summer Nightmare and started filming the very next weekend. Stickmen Pictures was born. Together with Rishi, Daniel went on to produce several short films, including chiller The Darkness in the Fields and philosophical drama Across The Styx.
