Biography

Tony Joe was born on June 13, 1971 in Buffalo, New York. He is the middle of four brothers of a nurse mother, Debbie, from Elmira, and a cook father, Jesse Brown, from Elmira. After graduating from high school, Tony enrolled at Hudson Valley Community College, intent on a career in acting. Tony caught the acting bug while in High School in Horseheads, New York while appearing in several student productions. Also while in High School, Tony Joe performed at the world famous Clemens Center in a production of Guys and Dolls. This experience firmly planted the acting bug within Tony Joe and he has been honing his craft ever since. Tony Joe's first paid acting role was Eddie Murphy's, "Boomerang" in 1992. Tony played a night club dancer, which permitted Tony to show off his Michael Jackson like moves. In 1995, Tony attended Virginia Tech on a full football athletic scholarship.
