Louis Stancil

Award-winning Acting Coach, Louis Stancil, brings an accomplished background to his auspicious career in entertainment. He began his professional trajectory in his native Baltimore, Maryland acting in local plays before ending up as an intern at a local casting agency where he then realized he was interested in the behind the scenes aspect of Hollywood and absorbed all facets of set life from casting to producing. He soon found himself interning at various casting offices in New York and became a freelance assistant to some of the top casting offices in the city, including ABC, FOX, NBC, and HBO, where he was an interpreter of sign language for deaf actors. As the son of deaf parents, it has remained important for him to be able to advocate on behalf of persons with disabilities. He gleaned the tricks of the trade and used his experience to help others make their way in the business.
