Biography

Francis Anthony Mossman was born on April 14, 1988, in Auckland, New Zealand to Maria Abad and Reginald Mossman. Francis has two younger brothers, Jeremy and Laurence Mossman (who is also a successful performer). Francis discovered his love of acting in high school productions. This led him to pursue a Bachelor of Arts, double-majoring in 'Drama' and 'Film, Television and Media Studies' at New Zealand's top university, The University of Auckland. He stayed on to earn a Postgraduate Diploma in Arts (with Merit) and a Master of Arts (with First Class Honours), both in 'Film, Television and Media Studies'. Concurrent with these studies, he explored his craft in the Meisner Technique master class taught by one of Sanford Meisner's original students, Michael Saccente. Among other credits, Francis guest-starred in the New Zealand kids' series, Amazing Extraordinary Friends, and New Zealand's longest-running soap, Shortland Street.
