Ronald Patrick Thompson

Ronald Patrick Thompson, named after his late Uncle Ronnie, was born May 18, 1981 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He is of Caribbean descent on his mother's side and a combination of Russian and Austrian on his father's. He grew up in and around Montreal until he was 12 years old and then Cornwall, Ontario from 12 - 19 where he went to Gladstone Public School and Cornwall Collegiate & Vocational School (CCVS). Two schools also attended by fellow actor Ryan Gosling. Both had also been part of the latter's "Program of The Arts" acting program though not at the same time. Ronald also participated in sports throughout high school as a player and a coach excelling at track & field and basketball. He would earn gold medals in both basketball and the 4 x 100 relay in his graduating year. After graduating from high school Ronald returned to Montreal where he attended Dawson College. During a tryout for the AA Men's basketball team he tore his ACL in his right knee. Opting not to have surgery, h
