Shaun Grant

Shaun Robert Grant was born September 4, 1981 in New Orleans, LA. The third of four children, Shaun was always quiet, but this quietness could not stop him from destiny. However, he displayed an early disposition toward sports; his early love being football. Growing up in the inner city he was hailed for his athletic prowess as he performed like an artist on the field. He modeled him self after the legendary Jerry Rice, even being admired by the neighborhood roustabouts who labeled him "Jerry Cornbread" a second coming of the man himself. He took this talent to high school where he dominated, but suffered a torn ACL,MCL,LCL,in addition to bone spurs&cartilage damage; which altered his place in being recruited. Through this major setback, He found himself at a crossroad where he reminisced of the multiple summers he and his younger brother spent training on their own. He found himself at Louisiana Tech, where he decided he would walk on. His perseverance paid off and he made the team. H
