Robert Eggers

Robert Houston Eggers is an American filmmaker, writer, and director, known for his meticulous period-horror films. He made his feature debut writing and directing The Witch (2015). All of his films are period pieces blending horror, folklore, and mythology, noted for historical authenticity, detailed production design, and period-accurate dialogue. Eggers began as a theatre director, scenic designer, and costume designer in New York before transitioning to film.
