Biography

Richard Lee Smith Jr. was born on February 24, 1975 in Dallas Texas, to Lenora Smith (Whitehead) and Richard Lee Smith Sr. At the Age of 16 he was excepted into Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing Arts (Arts Magnet). Where he studied painting. Richard tried out for the high schools opera Porgy and Bess and landed the lead. After graduation Richard moved to San Francisco to attend the San Francisco Art Institute, where he continued his studies in painting. His mother who was involved with Women in Film (Dallas) who was acting at the time, suggested that he take acting classes from her acting couch (Cliff Osmond) who flew in from LA once a week to teach in SF. Richard fell in love with acting and studied with Cliff until he passed in 2012. Richard moved to Los Angeles in 1998 to pursue a career in the film business.
