Biography

Alan Roger Currie was born in Gary, Indiana, and is the youngest of two sons born to Clarence & Mildred Currie; Currie was the Grand Prize Winner of the 1989 Chicago Miller Lite Beer Comedy Search Contest, the same contest that launched the career of well-known comic Sheryl Underwood, and one year later, provided a jump start to the career of the late Bernie Mac, who was the 1990 Grand Prize Winner. Currie is the author of the popular paperback, "Mode One: Let The Women Know What You're REALLY Thinking" which has attracted attention both domestically and internationally. He has appeared in a number of local and regional television commercials in the mid-to-late 80s and early 90s, and has also hosted his own talk radio show entitled "Upfront & Straightforward with Alan Roger Currie."
