Tim Hardiman

Tim Hardiman has been consulting with SVU since 2004. He is a 23 year veteran of the NYPD who retired in 2009 at the rank of Inspector. During his career Tim served as the Commanding Officer of the 71 Detective Squad, Brooklyn Special Victims Squad, Queens South Task Force, Leadership Development Section, 50 & 47 Precincts. He is a graduate of the 194th Session of the FBI National Academy. Tim is also an adjunct faculty member of American Military University where he teaches several diverse courses on criminal justice. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York and a Master of Public Administration Degree from Marist College. Tim is a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. During his tenure with SVU Tim has helped numerous writers, directors and actors accurately portray New York City Police Officers. He has a great depth of knowledge of the law and police procedures.
