Biography

Amanda Gari was born into the business - quite literally, as granddaughter of legendary comedian Eddie Cantor. The talent continued in the household in which she grew up - with composer Janet Cantor Gari and artist/actor Roberto Gari, who is most renowned for his portrait of Judy Garland which hung in The Palace Theatre. Amanda worked primarily as a singer and impersonator before landing roles on "Loving" and "Ryan's Hope" while still living in New York. On the West Coast where she resides, she is most well known for her comedic roles on "Victorious" (where she portrayed a Christmas caroling Liza Minnelli) and the ongoing hit web series "Old Dogs & New Tricks" as Lydia Lasker (Personal Assistant by day, chanteuse by night). She is also quite at home with dramatic turns on "General Hospital" and "Cry Wolfe."
